This is the most like a real corset, however it is not for the purpose of whittling the waist. A true corset should be purchased at least 4" smaller than your waistline. Worn and tightened till the space is closed and then another corset, 4" smaller is used. This will make your waist get smaller and
some say ruins your health. The Lusty Busty will not make your waist smaller, but it will make your breasts look larger by pushing them up into mounds of cleavage. Looks great as a top under a silk suit or with a skirt.
